Ingredients:
- La Popular Maka Tlan Birria Sauce | Beef | Seasonings of your choice
Instructions:
- Begin by preparing your beef. You can use beef shank or chuck roast for this recipe.
- In your Instant Pot, set it to the “Saute” function and allow it to heat up.
- Add your seasonings to the beef. Traditional Birria seasonings often include ingredients like garlic, cumin, oregano, cloves, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Adjust the quantities to your taste.
- Coat the seasoned beef thoroughly with La Popular Maka Tlan Birria Sauce. This sauce adds a unique and authentic flavor to your Birria.
- Mix all the ingredients together using gloved hands, ensuring that the beef is evenly coated with the seasonings and sauce.
- Once the beef is well-coated and the Instant Pot is hot, add the beef to the pot and sear it on all sides for a few minutes until it’s browned. This will enhance the flavor.
- After searing, switch off the “Saute” function and remove the beef from the Instant Pot.
- Return the beef to the Instant Pot and add any remaining Birria sauce and seasonings.
- Close the Instant Pot lid securely and set it to “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” mode. Cook the beef for 40 minutes at high pressure.
- After the cooking time is complete, allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally for about 10-15 minutes. Then, carefully release any remaining pressure manually.
- Open the Instant Pot, and your Birria should be ready to enjoy.
- Enjoy!
